From our conversations with library staff, we identified a set of common patron requests related to data privacy. We then created printable handouts that can be used by library staff to raise patron awareness of these privacy issues. They can be posted at computer stations in the library, or handed out to patrons at circulation/information desks.
We’ve also created annotated versions for several of these Teaching Moments. Annotated versions include talking points and helpful language library staff can use when talking to patrons about data privacy. These can be shared via your internal intranet, or posted in breakrooms or back offices.
Click on a topic to access a downloadable PDF of each teaching moment (available in English and Spanish) as well as a PDF of the annotated version (if available).
